Yulia Ayzenberg (Yevsukova):

Yulia Ayzenberg (Yevsukova) graduated with Highest Honors from UC Davis as a Managerial Economics major in 2009. After graduation, Yulia started her professional career with River City Bank as a commercial credit associate. She stayed in the world of commercial banking for almost seven years, advancing her career to become a credit analyst, then portfolio manager and finally relationship manager. At the bank, Yulia was responsible for managing and growing a $100+ million commercial loan portfolio. In 2013, Yulia helped create the Banking Academy Internship at River City Bank which still exists today and is focused on teaching current students about the banking industry and career opportunities. While advancing her career at the bank, Yulia completed the three-year part-time graduate program receiving her MBA Degree from UC Davis Graduate School of Management in June of 2015. In April of 2016, Yulia left the bank and completely switched industries by joining Oracle Corporation as a Senior License Consultant. She is now part of the Unlimited License Agreements team within Licenses Management Services group. License Management Services is a global team of experts chartered to work closely with Oracle's Customers and Partners to assist in understanding and adhering to Oracle's IT asset policies, licensing policies and business practices. In her current role, Yulia provides accurate licensing guidance, performs value assessment of existing deployment rights, and assists customers with contract certifications.

Tyler Bach:

Tyler Bach graduated from UC Davis in June of 2017. His favorite ARE classes were 171A and 171B but he wishes he took more accounting. While there, he worked on campus as a Managerial Economics peer adviser and as a RA. Off campus, he spent two summers interning at State Street in Sacramento and completed the River City Banking Academy during his senior year. After graduation he moved to San Jose to follow his dream of working in Silicon Valley. He joined the financial development rotational program (FDRP) at ServiceNow. Currently, he is in his first of three one year rotations and is working on the software company's Internal Audit team.

Wendy Chen:

Wendy Chen graduated from UC Davis in June 2017. During her time at UC Davis, Wendy was the Professional Relations Director for Davis Accounting Society, the Student Assistant at the Letters and Science Dean's Office, as well as a Campus Ambassador for Becker CPA Review. Wendy is now an Associate Consultant at Triage Consulting Group in San Francisco where she runs weekly team meetings, and researches and audits her client's data. During her spare time, Wendy enjoys urban hikes and munching on any Flamin' Hot snacks!

Nate Clough:

Nate Clough graduated from University of California, Davis with a B.S in Managerial Economics and a M.S. in Agricultural and Resource Economics in 2009 and 2011, respectively. While in college, Nate was a member of the professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, and played for the UC Davis ice hockey team. Nate has 6 years of experience in marketing data analytics at companies such as Safeway and PayPal and is currently a Finance Lead at Sandia National Laboratories.

Eliseo Esparza:

Eliseo Esparza graduated with High Honors from UC Davis in the Spring of 2012. While at Davis, Eliseo was a part of several organizations, including the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity where we received the Man of the Year Award, and he was also a Man Econ Peer Advisor. After graduation, Eliseo began his professional career at EMC Corporation as a Financial Analyst on the Data Protection and Availability Division’s Global Pricing team. In this role, Eliseo served as an acting delegate for the DPAD CFO and would analyze strategic opportunities, ensuring responsible pricing techniques. Two years later he decided to try something new when he was asked by the Director of DPAD Sales Operations to take on a Business Analyst position supporting the Enterprise West and Latin American sales divisions. In this role, Eliseo worked with the divisional mangers to forecast future business and proactively remove operational obstacles in order to help the field drive sales campaigns. A short 6 months later, Eliseo was recruited by the FP&A manager at ServiceNow, a smaller company, to support head count and sales. With only a few weeks under his belt, he is still learning the ropes but he enjoys the fast paced environment and the ability to make a more direct impact on the business

Aspen Felt:

Aspen Felt’s professional background includes teaching English in France and working with international students both at the college and high school levels. She also worked for an organization that runs volunteer and internship programs in Africa, Asia, and South America. One of the highlights of her career so far is having the privilege of working on the U.S. Department of State’s Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program, which brings high school students from predominantly Muslim countries to the U.S. for an academic year. Aspen has been fortunate to travel the world for work, meet amazing people, and learn about the complexities and interconnectedness of our world. These experiences solidified her love of cultural exchange and international education, and she later went on to pursue a Master’s degree in International Education. Aspen’s international experiences have by far been the most rewarding of her life.

Megan Galdes:

Megan Galdes graduated from UC Davis with degrees in Managerial Economics and Communications this past June. While on campus, Megan was involved in Greek life, spending time working as both the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Executive Officer for her sorority. She was also a Man Econ peer advisor, and enjoyed her time spent in the office answering students’ questions. Currently, she is working as a HR Analyst as LinkedIn. After being a two-time summer intern, Megan is happy to finally be back at LinkedIn as a full-time employee. She is excited to have the opportunity to be in this role, as it gives her the chance to gain a broad understanding of many HR systems, processes and policies. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, planning her next travel adventure, and binge watching Grey's Anatomy.

Yvette Harper:

Yvette Harper is a 2016 Alumni who during her time at UC Davis was selected as the Western Agricultural Association Outstanding Senior, served as the VP of Marketing for the Alpha Phi Sorority, and was an avid Farmers’ Market attendee. After graduation Yvette moved to southern California to work as a Global Sourcing Analyst for Mission Produce, the largest avocado distributor in the world. Sourcing from Mexico, California, Chile and other South American countries, Yvette, and her department, makes sure you can have guacamole and avocado toast all year long.

Sheila Jung:

Sheila Jung graduated from UC Davis in 2013 with degrees in Managerial Economics and Applied Statistics. She is currently a Solution Architect at GoodData, a data analytics distribution and visualization platform. She is a project technical lead and ETL developer who works directly with Fortune 500 companies and strategic enterprise clients to help them drive value from and monetize their data. Prior to her employment at GoodData, she was a Professional Services ETL and Business Intelligence Consultant for Teradata. Sheila is a former peer advisor for Managerial Economics and is excited to be back at her alma mater!

Manda Lam:

Manda graduated from UC Davis in 2017 with a B.S. in Managerial Economics. During her time at UC Davis, Manda was heavily involved with PLS 21 going from intern, undergraduate teaching assistant, to head teaching assistant throughout her 4 years within the program. After graduation, Manda moved from San Jose to the Greater Los Angeles to fulfill the role of Senior Human Resources Assistant at Amazon. As a Sr. Human Resources Assistant, Manda is in charge of converting seasonal associates to full time benefited Amazonians, assisting associates with any concerns they have regarding their work status, sending associates to assist with other fulfillment center launches, as well as other projects to ensure that the associates are happy at the fulfillment center. Manda enjoys watching re-runs of Friends, FaceTiming her dog back at home, and exploring her new home in SoCal.

Eva Lee:

Eva Lee is a solution-focused student affairs professional with a devotion to career services. She graduated from UC Davis in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and a minor in Asian American Studies and received her Master of Science in Counseling at Sacramento State in 2015. Prior to joining the ICC, she served as a Career Service Specialist at UC Merced, working with transfer and returning students. She has served in various student affairs departments at Sacramento State, such as the Multicultural Center and Academic Advising Center. She joined the ICC Liberal Arts and Business program area in summer 2016. Eva is passionate about helping students explore their career options, objectives, and experiential education. She is excited to support student strengths and is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach.

Patrick McCartney:

Patrick McCartney is currently a technology investment banking associate at Citi in San Francisco. As a coverage banker, Patrick's role spans all types of transactions, including those in mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raising, and leveraged buyouts. Prior to his current role, he was at Intel for six years in various corporate finance roles spanning M&A, strategy, marketing, and FP&A. He has also worked as an equity research associate covering the semiconductor industry. Patrick graduated from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley in December with an MBA focused on finance and graduated summa cum laude from UC Davis in 2010 with degrees in Managerial Economics and History.

Jimmy McCutcheon:

Jimmy McCutcheon graduated from UC Davis in 2014 with a degree in Managerial Economics. He currently works as a Senior Consultant for FTI Consulting, where he consults and supports major law firms and companies in the firm’s Dispute Advisory Services group. While a student at UC Davis, Jimmy was an intern for Nebraska Heavy Industries, a private equity firm. Jimmy was also a member of the Finance and Investment Club, Club Finance Council, and he worked as a Building Supervisor at the Memorial Union.

Amber Ofiesh:

Amber Ofiesh began working for State Street Bank, a worldwide custodian bank, in January 2011 as a Fund Accounting Associate and has worked on various accounting teams servicing Pension Plans, Hedge Funds and other investment products. She is now working as a Client Service Officer and switched over to a consulting role, overseeing and redesigning the accounting controls and processes utilized by various teams under the EMEA (Europe Middle East and Asia) Department. Amber works daily to ensure accuracy and compliance throughout accounting operations at State Street Bank Sacramento, working with support teams and clients around the world.

Kazim Raza:

Kazim Raza graduated from UC Davis in June 2017. During his time at UC Davis, Kazim was the VP of Finance at Alpha Kappa Psi, Social Media Marketing Director at the Student Alumni association, as well as the international student Coordinator at the Cross Cultural Center. Kazim is now a Claims Underwriter at Berkshire Hathaway HomeState Companies in San Francisco where he handles his clients’ premiums and closes workers compensation claims. During his spare time, Kazim enjoys road trips and playing tennis!

Emma Ronne:

Emma Ronne graduated from UC Davis in March 2017 and is an Incoming Tax
Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). While on campus, Emma worked as
a Managerial Economics peer advisor as well as a Volunteer Income Tax
Assistance (VITA) intern. Emma is currently studying and testing to become
a CPA. In January of 2018, she will begin work at PwC in San Francisco as a
State & Local Tax Associate. When she’s not busy flipping through her
Becker CPA Review Flashcards, you can find her skiing during the winter,
hiking year-round, or planning her next trip.

Andrea Salah:

Andrea Salah graduated in 2013 with a B.S. in Managerial Economics and a B.A. in Psychology. During her time at Davis, she had the privilege of being a peer adviser in the Managerial Economics department for two years as well as in the College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences Dean’s Office. Andrea was also very heavily involved in her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, serving as Vice President of Philanthropy, and was a member of the Greek honors society Order of Omega. After graduating she worked in Human Resources at Blach Construction Company in Santa Clara. Blach was named the number 14 best small or medium company to work for in the United States as published in Fortune magazine during the time she worked there. Andrea then started working at Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park in late 2013. She started out working on the Infrastructure Recruiting team as a Recruiting Project Coordinator partnering with recruiters and engineering management to work towards hiring stellar engineering talent to one of the leading tech companies in the Bay Area. For the past two years she has been working on the Mergers & Acquisitions team working as a Technical Recruiter and helping to evaluate target acquisition companies, assess prospective talent and integrate teams into Facebook working closely with the corporate development team on the global M&A program and all acquisitions at Facebook.

Jacqueline Sia:

Jacqueline Sia graduated in the Spring of 2015 as a Managerial Economics major. She is currently a Data Analyst at LinkedIn, where she assists in liquidity of jobs posted on LinkedIn. This entails managing careers for companies, pulling large amounts of data to analyze and create reports, quality assurance checks, and communication with engineers. During her time in Davis, she was an administrator who helped run the Morgan Stanley Financial Training Program. She was also treasurer for the Business Career and Networking Club as well as a member of various other clubs such as the Economics and Business Student Association.

Kevin Tran:

Kevin graduated cum laude from UC Davis in 2017 with a B.S. in Managerial Economics and a minor in Environmental Policy Analysis & Planning (EPAP). While at UCD, Kevin was a Peer Advisor with Man. Econ. for two years in addition to being a PLS 21 TA for four quarters. After graduation, Kevin moved back home to L.A. to be a part of City National Bank’s Credit Analyst
Training Program in the Commercial Banking Services (CBS) division. As a credit analyst for the Inland Empire and New York CBS portfolio, his roles include financial spreading and debt analysis of financial statements, tax analysis of guarantor cash flows, collateral review of company transactions, and other loan structuring due diligences. Kevin is a proud and life-long fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Dodgers, and Conan O'Brien. He is excited to be back at UCD and hopes the attendees take advantage of this amazing event.

Steven Weiss:

Steven Weiss, president of The Weiss Group, is a seasoned business strategist and marketing professional with more than 25 years of experience at some of Northern California’s most notable public, private and non-profit organizations. Prior to establishing his consulting practice, Steven was Vice President of Marketing & Public Affairs for The Sacramento Bee, the McClatchy Corporation’s flagship newspaper. At The Bee, he led the organization’s branding, marketing and public affairs initiatives and created a successful portfolio strategy that allowed the paper to launch new products and websites while broadening the company’s reach. Steven directed The Bee’s charitable giving program, including the granting of more than $8 million in support to local nonprofit organizations. Steven was the director of University Cultural Programs at UC Davis where he chaired the campus’ Building Committee and served on the leadership team responsible for securing philanthropic support for the $60 million Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. He also held a lecturer appointment at the University, teaching management theory and practice to undergraduate students. Dedicated to community service and professional involvement, Steven is the former board chair for KVIE, Sacramento’s Public Broadcasting Station. He is also a current board member and past board vice chair of Capital Public Radio. Steven is a senior fellow and former board member of the American Leadership Forum’s Mountain Valley Chapter, and currently serves on CSU Sacramento’s College of Business Administration Advisory Board. Steven has been named Volunteer of the Year by the Sacramento Metro Chamber and was given the Arts Leadership Award by the Sacramento Arts and Business Council. Steven holds a B.S. with Honors in Managerial Economics from UC Davis and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Golden Gate University.
