Emily Au graduated from UC Davis in March 2015 majoring in Managerial Economics with a minor in Statistics. While in Davis, Emily was involved with EBSA and Rotaract, where she served as the Director of Publicity. She currently works in Sales Strategy at Salesforce. Emily works on quotas for account executives as well as capacity planning for the B2C organization. Fun Fact: Emily has been to 19 National Parks in the past 3 years.

Tyler Bach graduated from UC Davis in June 2017. His favorite ARE classes were 171A and 171B and he highly recommends all Man Econ students take these courses and as many accounting classes as possible. As a student, Tyler worked on campus as a Man Econ Peer Advisor and as a Resident Advisor. Off campus, he spent two summers interning at State Street in Sacramento and completed the River City Banking Academy during his senior year. After graduation, he joined the financial development rotational program (FDRP) at ServiceNow, a SaaS company in Santa Clara. After working in Internal Audit for the first of three one-year rotations, he is now working on the company's Treasury team.

Dani Brown graduated from UC Davis in June 2017. During her time at Davis, Dani was a Teaching Assistant for Plant Sciences 21 - Computers in Business Course. She interned at The Clorox Company for two years before joining the eCommerce Amazon team full-time as a Sales Analyst supporting the domestic Burt's Bees, Renew Life, and Cat Litter brands, as well as the International eCom team. Now, Dani works as a Senior Sales Analyst on the Amazon team supporting the Glad, Home Care, Laundry, Professional Products, and Food business units. She enjoys working on the fast-paced and innovative eCom team, a major area of growth for Clorox.

Christina Cadang received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Women’s Studies from UC Davis. She earned her Master of Science degree in Counseling with a specialization in career counseling and emphasis in college counseling from San Francisco State University. She has previously worked as an academic advisor at SFSU and has served as a Graduate Student Career Counseling Intern at UC Berkeley and the University of San Francisco. She is passionate about supporting college students in the career exploration and job/internship search process, and preparing students for the world of work.

Wendy Chen graduated from UC Davis in June 2017. During her time at UC Davis, Wendy was the Professional Relations Director for Davis Accounting Society, a Student Assistant with the Letters and Science Dean's Office, as well as a Campus Ambassador for Becker CPA Review. Wendy is now an Experienced Associate at Triage Consulting Group in San Francisco where she finds trends in her clients’ revenue cycle. During her spare time, Wendy enjoys urban hikes, volunteering at a dog shelter, and munching on any Flamin' Hot snacks!

Vishal Chollera graduated from UC Davis in June 2017. During his time on campus, Vishal was involved in the Finance & Investment Club, Theta Chi Fraternity, and was a Resident Advisor for Student Housing. Vishal currently works as a Research Analyst at Financial Technology Partners, a boutique Investment Bank specialized within the FinTech sector. Vishal is an avid soccer fan and also enjoys traveling and hiking.

Nate Clough graduated from University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Managerial Economics and a M.S. in Agricultural and Resource Economics in 2009 and 2011. While in college, Nate was a member of the professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, and played for the UC Davis ice hockey team. Nate has 7 years of experience in marketing data analytics at companies including Safeway and PayPal. Nate is currently a Finance Lead at Sandia National Laboratories.

Josh Donnelly graduated from UC Davis in June 2015. During his time at UC Davis, Josh managed the Animal Science Feedlot, was a member of FIC and the Young Cattleman’s Association, and generally attended class less than he should have. Josh started his career in investment banking with Stifel, Nicolaus & Co in Los Angeles after graduating. He is now with Shoreline Partners, a boutique Investment Banking Firm in San Diego where he manages the deal execution process for sell side M&A clients and develops new business for the firm. During his spare time, Josh enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and SoCal’s superior weather.

Megan Galdes graduated from UC Davis with degrees in Managerial Economics and Communication in 2017. While a student at UCD, Megan was involved in Greek life, spending time working as both the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Executive Officer for her sorority. She was also a Man Econ Peer Advisor, and enjoyed her time spent in the office answering students’ questions. Currently, she is working as a Talent Acquisition Operations Analyst at LinkedIn. Her role involves supporting the LinkedIn Talent Acquisition team by managing the backend of the recruiting workflow, troubleshooting any system issues, and brainstorming ways for process improvement. In her free time, she enjoys trying new foods, planning her next travel adventure, and binge watching Grey's Anatomy.

Blenda Hoang is a 2016 alumna from the Managerial Economics program. During her time at UC Davis, she was a Finance & Accounting intern for Tesla Motors and a year-round employee of Student Accounting. Post graduation, Blenda accepted a role at Adobe Systems (but still doesn't know Photoshop) as a tax accountant and has since moved on to Financial Planning and Analysis under the Digital Media business unit supporting Adobe Stock. She probably holds the world record for amount of bananas eaten consecutively on a daily basis (5 years and counting), and is an avid runner.

Matthew Hom graduated from UC Davis in June 2013, and joined The Clorox Company shortly thereafter as an eCommerce Sales Analyst. In the 4 years since, Matthew has worked across all of Clorox's new and iconic brands within the quickly evolving eCommerce channel. Currently, Matthew manages the Amazon sales relationship for The Clorox Company across Home Care, Laundry, Glad, Professional Products, and Food business units. Matthew finds energy in building new go-to-market models for brands and businesses, as well as developing new analysts within the company.

Anna Kritikos graduated from UC Davis in June 2014. The halcyon days spent at Davis were focused on her work as one of the fine Managerial Economics pupils. At the same time, she pursued a B.A. in the Department of Theater and Dance, focusing on acting Shakespeare plays among others, and developing original works. After a few years of floundering, and temping here and there in the Bay Area in pursuit of nonprofit arts jobs, she has situated a cushy position in a small bike wheel light outfit in Berkeley, MonkeyLectric. The job entails shipping operations, marketing, and sales. Anna is very happy with her job and is grateful for the experience afforded her at UC Davis, particularly in the Man Econ department, and would like to be of service if anyone has any inquiries.

Patrick McCartney is currently a technology investment banking associate at Citi in San Francisco. As a coverage banker, Patrick's role spans all types of transactions, including those in mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raising, and leveraged buyouts. Prior to his current role, he was at Intel for six years in various corporate finance roles spanning M&A, strategy, marketing, and FP&A. He has also worked as an equity research associate covering the semiconductor industry. Patrick graduated from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley with an MBA focused on finance and graduated summa cum laude from UC Davis in 2010 with degrees in Managerial Economics and History.

Karen McMillen is currently the manager of the Continuing Education and Outreach Unit of the California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission (CDIAC), within the State Treasurer's Office. In this position, she coordinates seminars for public officials who issue debt or invest public funds. This includes planning seminar agendas, developing materials, selecting expert speakers and determining appropriate topics of discussion. Additionally, she develops and maintains relevant educational curriculum on a range of public debt issuance, investment, and finance subjects from fundamental to advanced levels of complexity. In previous positions as a trainer and senior trainer at the State Teacher's Retirement System (CalSTRS), Karen built a strong understanding of adult learning principals as well as educational curriculum development. She is experienced in both public and private finance due to her time at CalSTRS, previous experience at Franklin Templeton Investments, and her degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis.

Daria Mikhalchenko graduated from UC Davis in June 2016. During her time at UCD, Daria worked at Unitrans as a driver, a trainer, and as the marketing manager. She was also an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. After graduation, Daria moved to Sacramento and took a position at Bryant Christie Inc., a consulting firm focused on expanding market access for U.S. food and agricultural products abroad. Daria primarily analyzes international agricultural regulations and monitors changes to foreign and domestic trade policy. In her spare time, Daria enjoys drinking coffee and planning her future travels.

Amber Ofiesh works at the University of California in the Office of Research as a Financial Analyst for Special Research programs. For each program she writes reports, manages data integrity and conducts analyses for the purposes of budgeting and forecasting future expenditures. These reports include a breakdown of actual versus expected expenditures, forecasted shortfalls or carryforwards, and budgetary adjustments to align financial activities with the goals of the special research program. To make all of this scalable and efficient, she uses VBA, SQL, and Java Script programming.

Secondary to her role as a Financial Analyst, Amber recently became a system administrator for a cloud-based computing system called Adaptive Insights, integrating the cloud-based system with the UC financial, budgetary, forecasting and accounting data. She has also become a project manager for the Animal Use and Care initiative to calculate the costs of goods and services related to their unit. In other words, she’s trying to figure out things like how much it costs to take care of a monkey for a day!

Before coming to the UC, Amber worked almost 8 years in investment banking, accounting and financial services. She worked 4 years in the pension business, and 4 years as the lead developer writing financial programs in VBA to service large clients, including Bank of America, Goldman Sachs and Blackrock.
Outside of work Amber runs a blog at ThatSoBasic.com, where she posts videos about VBA programming. She creates beginner, intermediate and advanced content to assist both those who have never seen the programming world before and those who are looking to improve their existing skill set.

Kazim Raza graduated from UC Davis in June 2017. During his time at UC Davis, Kazim was the VP of Finance at Alpha Kappa Psi, Social Media Marketing Director at the Student Alumni association, as well as the international student Coordinator at the Cross Cultural Center. Kazim was a Workers Compensation Claims Underwriter at Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies in San Francisco until July 2018. He handled client premiums and closed workers’ compensation claims.  He is currently a graduate student and is pursuing a Masters in Professional Accounting from UC Davis. During his spare time, Kazim enjoys road trips and playing tennis.

Shiv Sachdev recently graduated from Wharton's MBA program, and subsequently joined Livongo Health, a private consumer-healthcare technology company that empowers people with chronic conditions to live healthier lives, as a Senior Manager in their FP&A group.  Shiv completed his MBA internship with Google in their Corporate Development team. Prior to Wharton, he spent 2.5 years as an investment associate at the venture capital fund, Sapphire Ventures, where he focused on making growth-stage technology investments in the Enterprise Software, Fintech, and Digital Healthcare companies. Prior to Sapphire, he completed the technology investment banking program at RBC Capital Markets and spent a few months as a tax accountant with PwC.  He graduated highest honors with a B.S. in Managerial Economics and a minor in Psychology from the University of California, Davis. During his time at UCD, he served as President of the Finance and Investment Club.

Laura Suttie currently works at a small Commercial Real Estate Tech startup, Waypoint, in San Francisco as a Senior Associate on the Operations & Client Success team. Laura graduated from UC Davis in 2015 with a major in Managerial Economics and a minor in Statistics. While at Davis, Laura was a Peer Advisor for the Managerial Economics department and participated in the University Honors Program.

Kevin Tran graduated cum laude from UC Davis in 2017 with a B.S. in Managerial Economics and a minor in Environmental Policy Analysis & Planning (EPAP). While at UCD, Kevin was a Peer Advisor with Man Econ for two years in addition to being a PLS 21 TA for four quarters. After graduation, Kevin moved back home to L.A. to be a part of City National Bank’s Credit Analyst Training Program in the Commercial Banking Services (CBS) division. As a Credit Analyst, his roles include annual reviews of existing client loans, financial spreading and debt analysis of financial statements, tax analysis of guarantor cash flows, covenant tracking, and other loan structuring due diligences. Kevin is a proud and life-long fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Dodgers, and Conan O'Brien. He is excited to be back at UCD and hopes the attendees take advantage of this amazing event.

Andrew Yaholkovsky graduated from UC Davis in June 2018 with a degree in Managerial Economics. During his time at UC Davis, he was a Peer Advisor for the Managerial Economics department and a TA for Plant Sciences 21, a computing/coding class. Andrew started at ServiceNow during his junior year, accepting a summer internship in FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) supporting the IT organization within the company. He enjoyed the experience so much that he accepted a full-time offer to be a part of ServiceNow's 3-year rotational program. Andrew's first rotation is back in FP&A, and he is considering future rotations in Sales Finance, Internal Audit, Business Systems, and GL Accounting. During his spare time, Andrew is pursuing a Micro-Masters in Business Analytics through Columbia University and preparing for his first week-long backpacking trip abroad.
